A Gift RevisitedAs time passes on, And night
becomes day. The words that I used
to screw up, Become easier to say.
That gift from God, Placed in my
hands, Is now easier for me To
understand.
Here with my life, Read like an open
book. Tracing right and wrong
decisions, The paths that I took.
They somehow all lead... To a warm
June day, When I discovered the gift,
For which I had prayed.
If you love something... Set it free.
If you love something so much... Let it be.
Let that gift develop and grow. It will
find its way, back to home.
Years before, I thought I was a man.
After opening my gift early, I see I'm
only half a man. So I wrap my gift
back up, And put it away. For when
I grow up, That gift will come back...
My way.
